Technical Specifications of 7050 Series
Dynamic
Buffer Allocation In cut-through mode, the Arista DCS 7050 10Gb forwards packets
with a delay of 800 to 1350 nanoseconds. In case of overload, packets are
cached in shared packet memory with a total size of 9 MB. Unlike other
architectures that have fixed packet memory per port, the 7050 switch uses
dynamic buffer allocation (DBA) to allocate up to 5MB of packet memory on a
single port for lossless forwarding.

Provisioning Tools and Integrated Storage The 7050 series switch provides
advanced network provisioning capabilities, and the switch Can be automatically
configured through a central management system with dynamically generated
configurations and preferences for boot images. An internal 50 GB SSD is
available as a factory option. Onboard storage enables a whole new family of
applications to run on the network itself.
